What is ground detector for wireless parking guidance?

Ground detector (also named ground-sensor) is surface-mounted, battery-powered microwave detection hardware specially built for wireless parking guidance system. Different from ceiling-hanging ultrasonic integrated / split detector and camera detector for indoor parking garages, ground detector is installed directly on the pavement surface of each parking bay.

It adopts 24GHz microwave detection module and communicates via LoRa long-range wireless radio. No field wiring or external power supply is required on parking bays. Together with LoRa wireless gateway, node controller, LED guidance displays and PGS-SW software, it constitutes the complete ground wireless parking guidance solution, mainly targeting open-air and outdoor parking lots.

Main Components of Ground Wireless Parking Guidance System

1. Ground Detector (Ground-Sensor)：Surface-mount microwave bay detector, IP66 waterproof & impact-resistant, 9000mAh built-in battery, more than 3-year service life, LoRa 470MHz wireless transmission, detection accuracy＞99.5%.

2. LoRa Wireless Gateway：Receives LoRa signal sent by ground detectors, converts to TCP-IP network data, supports multi-sector frequency coding, manages dozens to hundreds of ground detectors in one parking site.

3. PGS Node / Central Controller：Aggregates parking-bay data, connects with LED display and management software.

4. Outdoor LED Guidance Display：Shows real-time available-bay quantity for outdoor parking zones.

5. PGS-SW Parking Guidance Software：Displays bay-level status map, records parking statistical data for lot operation management.
